Saudi Arabia-based enterprise AI startup Gaia has raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Seedra Ventures, as the company looks to accelerate the development and adoption of its sovereign AI platform for enterprises.
Founded in 2026 by Badr Al-Malluh, Co-Founder and CEO, and Mohammad Rababah, Co-Founder and CPTO, Gaia is building an AI infrastructure layer designed to bring an organisation’s knowledge, files, emails, business systems and workflows into a unified environment.
Unlike enterprise AI solutions that require organisational information to move outside a company’s infrastructure, Gaia positions data sovereignty and security at the centre of its platform. Company data remains within the organisation’s environment while employees can interact with information according to their existing access permissions.
Turning Enterprise Knowledge Into Action
Gaia combines enterprise search, a generative AI assistant and purpose-built AI agents within one platform.
Its enterprise search functionality allows employees to retrieve information across connected systems and trace answers back to their original files, conversations or records. The AI assistant generates responses grounded in the organisation’s own knowledge base, while Gaia’s AI agents can execute tasks across business applications and automate recurring processes such as reporting and summaries.
For higher-risk actions, the platform incorporates human approval into the workflow before an AI agent can proceed.
The startup is targeting a growing challenge for large organisations: critical information is often fragmented across email, CRM and ERP platforms, documents and other business applications. Gaia aims to transform these disconnected sources into what it describes as a single operational intelligence layer.
Building for Saudi Arabia’s Enterprise AI Shift
The funding comes as Saudi Arabia continues to increase investment in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure as part of its broader Vision 2030 transformation.
Gaia plans to use the new capital to further develop its platform and expand its work with Saudi enterprises looking to integrate AI into day-to-day operations while maintaining control over sensitive organisational data.
By combining enterprise knowledge management with generative AI and autonomous agents, Gaia is positioning itself within a rapidly emerging category of enterprise technology: AI systems designed not only to answer questions, but to understand organisational context and execute work across business systems.
