ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2026, the country’s largest technology week, has officially opened at Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan (CAEx) in Tashkent, bringing together international and local IT companies, investors, startups, government institutions, and representatives of the global technology industry.
Running from September 22 to 25, this year’s ICTWEEK has significantly expanded its international reach. Representatives from more than 70 countries and over 25,000 visitors are expected to attend, including approximately 2,000 international guests.
The exhibition will showcase solutions from more than 200 organizations, while the four-day business program will feature over 200 speakers and experts.
National pavilions will feature companies and technology organizations from the United States, China, Japan, Georgia, Oman, Türkiye, Tajikistan, and other countries. International companies and local startups will also showcase their technologies and solutions throughout the week.
Over the past several years, ICTWEEK has evolved from an industry exhibition into an international platform for discussions on venture capital, IT services exports, the entry of international companies into Uzbekistan, startup development, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, outsourcing, and digital infrastructure.
The four-day program includes major summits, forums, conferences, technology competitions, and startup pitch sessions.
Startup and Venture Ecosystem Takes the Stage
The first day of ICTWEEK opened with an official ceremony and an introduction to the ICT Expo 2026 exhibition.
The Startup & Venture Summit brings together startup founders, investors, venture capital funds, accelerators, corporations, and government representatives to discuss the development of the startup ecosystem, investment attraction, international scaling, and opportunities for technology companies to enter global markets.
The Uzbek–Japan Digital Community Forum also brings together representatives of government institutions, technology companies, investors, and innovation ecosystems from Uzbekistan and Japan. The forum focuses on digital cooperation, investment projects, and opportunities for companies from both countries to enter new markets.
Over the past two years, the number of Japanese companies holding IT Park resident status has increased from two to 25. The forum provides a platform to further strengthen this cooperation and establish direct connections between businesses, investors, and technology organizations from both countries.
Uzbekistan as a New Technology Jurisdiction
The second day begins with the Enterprise Uzbekistan Summit, dedicated to Uzbekistan’s development as a new technology jurisdiction.
The summit focuses on legal certainty, institutional infrastructure, and the conditions required to attract international technology companies and investment.
The program features presentations by representatives of Enterprise Uzbekistan, keynote addresses by experts from EY and BDO, a fireside chat featuring IT Park Uzbekistan and Enterprise Uzbekistan, and a panel discussion titled “Rethinking Jurisdictions for the Global Technology Economy.”
Participants will explore why international companies are choosing Uzbekistan as a destination for doing business, how responsibilities are distributed among the ecosystem’s key institutions, and what regulatory conditions are needed to support the continued growth of the technology economy.
The OTS Technology Forum and the Tech & Service Outsourcing Conference will also take place, with international companies and industry experts discussing the development of IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing (BPO), global business services (GBS), and service centers in Uzbekistan.
In the first half of 2026, 608 export-oriented companies joined IT Park, representing an increase of 178% compared with the same period last year. Today, IT Park residents export IT services and digital products to 102 countries.
AI, Education and the Global Startup Ecosystem
The session “AI Threats to Education & Employment” will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on education, professional skills, and the labor market.
Representatives of Amazon Web Services, Coursera, iFLYTEK, Alibaba Cloud, and OX Group will discuss cloud infrastructure for AI projects, multilingual AI models, AI Model-as-a-Service, business process automation, and preparing professionals for the jobs of the future.
One of the day’s major events will be the Global Startup Ecosystem Awards 2026, organized by StartupBlink in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan.
For the first time in the awards’ history, the ceremony will be held in an offline format, with Uzbekistan becoming the first country to host it.
In 2026, StartupBlink named Uzbekistan Country of the Year. Over the course of the year, the country climbed 19 positions to rank 79th globally, while Tashkent rose 121 positions to 229th place, becoming the highest-ranked startup city in Central Asia.
Startup World Cup Regional Final Comes to Tashkent
The third day will feature one of ICTWEEK’s key events: the regional final of the Startup World Cup 2026.
Fifteen selected technology startups will present their products, business models, market potential, and growth strategies to investors and international experts. The participating projects span artificial intelligence, FinTech, SaaS, DeepTech, consumer technology, and other sectors.
The winner will represent Uzbekistan at the global final in San Francisco and will have the opportunity to compete for a $1 million investment prize.
The Startup World Cup is organized by Silicon Valley-based Pegasus Tech Ventures, which manages more than $2 billion in assets. Its portfolio includes more than 300 investments, 88 exits, and 29 IPOs.
Since 2017, the Startup World Cup platform has brought together more than 50,000 participants, 2,500 investors, and 500 speakers, with more than 100 regional competitions organized around the world.
The Tashkent final will also feature a Speed Dating session with 40 meeting tables, allowing startups to connect directly with investors and potential partners, present their projects, and discuss potential areas of cooperation.
The regional final is organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures and Don’t Settle, with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and IT Park Ventures serving as partners.
The Uzbekistan–Middle East Tech Summit, dedicated to technology and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Middle Eastern countries, will also take place on the same day.
Another event, SABRIYA, will focus on women’s entrepreneurship and leadership in the technology industry, with participants and invited experts discussing the role of women in the digital economy, the development of technology companies, and opportunities to launch their own ventures.
Cloud, AI, Gaming and Startups Close the Week
The final day will focus on cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, startups, and the gaming industry.
AWS Community Day Uzbekistan will bring together more than 500 developers, cloud professionals, and technology enthusiasts. The program will feature more than 15 speakers, including Amazon Web Services Vice President and Chief Evangelist Jeff Barr.
Technical sessions will cover serverless technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, containers, DevOps, cybersecurity, and modern cloud architecture.
The final day will also feature the Ignyte AI Challenge 2026, gaming industry event GameGap, and a special edition of the startup show TAQDIMOT, organized by AloqaVentures.
During TAQDIMOT, selected startups will present their products and business models to investors and representatives of venture capital funds, receive expert feedback, and discuss potential investment and partnership opportunities.
Connecting Uzbekistan With the Global Technology Economy
