Oro, an AI-powered financial execution platform designed to turn natural-language instructions into multi-step transactions, has raised $3 million in a strategic funding round, bringing its total funding to $4 million.
The round was co-led by MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital, with participation from M2M Capital, Archer Capital and X21 Digital. Existing strategic backers Disrupt.com and ZIGLabs also participated in the round.
The fresh capital will support Oro’s push to develop what it describes as an intent-based financial execution layer, allowing users to express financial goals in plain language rather than manually navigating multiple decentralised finance (DeFi) platforms.
Oro converts those instructions into multi-step transaction routes while maintaining a non-custodial model, meaning transactions remain authorised and signed by users. The company is positioning the technology at the intersection of AI agents and financial infrastructure, as the industry increasingly moves beyond conversational AI toward systems capable of executing user-authorised actions.
The company plans to invest the funding across AI and agentic research and development, including further development of its proprietary Shield Engine and natural-language execution stack. Capital will also go toward global user acquisition, regulatory and compliance infrastructure, and expanding its engineering, AI research and business development teams.
Oro says it has already onboarded more than 350,000 unique active users and supports over 80 languages. An educational campaign backed by Amazon Web Services recorded more than 250,000 verified completions, while an initiative with Ondo Finance generated more than 50,000 verified completions within its first 24 hours.
The platform has also integrated with a number of major Web3 protocols, including Morpho, Kamino, Lido, Aave, Uniswap and Raydium.
Over the next six to 12 months, Oro is targeting 10 million active users. Its roadmap includes launching native iOS and Android applications, adding more integrations and expanding its role as an intent-routing infrastructure layer for both consumer-facing and enterprise financial products.
“Over the past 18 months, the Web3 landscape went through a market filter where projects without genuine utility quietly disappeared, but Oro thrived by proving that combining financial infrastructure with natural-language AI creates a product that mass-market users actually want,” said Varun Choudhary, co-founder and CEO of Oro.
Keira Nesdale, Portfolio Manager at MH Ventures, said Oro is addressing one of finance’s persistent challenges by reducing complexity while retaining non-custodial security.
Vijay Garg, Managing Partner at Mapleblock Capital, added that the company’s combination of natural-language intent and protocol execution could help shape how consumers and enterprises interact with digital assets.
With the new funding, Oro is betting that the next stage of AI in finance will be defined not simply by systems that understand what users want, but by platforms capable of securely translating those intentions into financial actions.
