Syrian healthtech startup DoctorBook has secured $16,000 in pre-Seed funding to accelerate the development of its digital healthcare platform, aimed at making medical services more accessible across Syria.
Founded by Abdulrahman Aljandali and Abdulrahman Alkhateeb, DoctorBook allows patients to search for doctors, book appointments online, and connect with healthcare providers through a streamlined digital experience. The platform also helps clinics and physicians manage appointments more efficiently, reducing administrative friction while improving patient engagement.
The fresh capital will be used to enhance the platform’s technology, expand its network of healthcare professionals, improve the user experience, and strengthen its overall product offering as demand for digital healthcare solutions continues to rise.
The investment reflects growing interest in Syria’s nascent startup ecosystem, where a new generation of technology companies is beginning to attract early-stage backing despite challenging market conditions. In healthcare, digital platforms such as DoctorBook have the potential to improve access to medical services by simplifying how patients find and interact with providers.
As Syria’s digital economy gradually develops, DoctorBook is positioning itself to play a role in modernising the country’s healthcare infrastructure through technology.
