Plug and Play has officially opened applications for Cohort 3 of the Morocco Accelerator, a three-month equity-free program designed to help Morocco’s most promising technology startups scale faster, attract investment, and build strategic partnerships. The accelerator is funded by Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and operated by TECHNOPARK Maroc (MITC) and Plug and Play as part of the country’s Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.
Since its launch, the Morocco Accelerator has established itself as one of North Africa’s leading startup programs. More than 80 founders have participated across previous cohorts, benefiting from hundreds of mentorship sessions, direct access to regional and international investors, and introductions to major corporate partners. Collectively, participating startups have secured more than $5 million in funding, demonstrating the program’s growing impact on Morocco’s innovation ecosystem.
The accelerator has also strengthened collaboration between startups and established businesses. Its inaugural Corporate Day brought together more than 12 leading Moroccan corporations, facilitating over 75 one-on-one meetings between founders and potential enterprise customers and partners.
Applications are now open for startups preparing to join Cohort 3, which begins in October 2026. The program is seeking companies with a Moroccan founder, co-founder, or members of the Moroccan diaspora that have already demonstrated market traction, generate revenue, and are building scalable technology solutions with regional or global ambitions.
Selected startups will receive personalized mentorship from experienced founders, operators, and industry experts while gaining access to Plug and Play’s global innovation ecosystem, international investor network, and corporate partners. Participants will also become eligible for non-dilutive financing opportunities through the Startup Venture Building Program, funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and operated by Tamwilcom.
Unlike many startup accelerators, the Morocco Accelerator is free to join and does not require founders to give up equity, allowing entrepreneurs to accelerate growth while maintaining full ownership of their companies.
As Morocco continues investing in digital transformation and entrepreneurship through its Digital Morocco 2030 vision, the accelerator is playing an increasingly important role in positioning the country as a gateway for innovation across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Applications for Cohort 3 will remain open until September 15, 2026. Startups selected for the program will begin their acceleration journey in October, joining a growing community of founders building Morocco’s next generation of globally competitive technology companies.
