Synapse Analytics Raises $13M Series A Led by Partech

Abu Dhabi-headquartered AI startup Synapse Analytics has raised $13 million in Series A funding, bringing its total capital raised since inception to $17 million.

The round was led by global technology investment firm Partech, with participation from existing investors Algebra Ventures and Silicon Badia.

Synapse Analytics plans to use the fresh capital to expand its team, accelerate product development and strengthen its international presence as demand for AI-powered decision infrastructure grows across the financial services sector.

Founded in 2018 by Ahmed Abaza and Galal Elbeshbishy, Synapse Analytics develops an agentic AI decisioning platform designed for regulated financial institutions. The company works with banks, non-bank financial institutions, fintech companies and telecom operators across the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Its technology enables credit and risk teams to build, test and deploy decision policies across areas including customer onboarding, credit, fraud detection and anti-money laundering.

A key part of the platform’s proposition is allowing financial institutions to maintain control over sensitive data and decision-making infrastructure. Synapse’s technology can operate within a client’s own environment, including on-premise, private or sovereign cloud and air-gapped deployments.

This approach allows institutions to adopt AI-powered automation while addressing the data governance, security and regulatory requirements associated with financial services.

Synapse Analytics is also expanding its use of AI agents within financial decision-making. These agents are designed to work alongside credit and risk teams to refine policies, improve underwriting criteria, monitor portfolios and identify emerging risks and opportunities.

The company says its broader ambition is to build what it describes as an “AI operating system for the new age of finance.”

According to Synapse Analytics, its technology has supported more than $200 million in lending, while helping some clients reduce non-performing loans by as much as 40%.

With the new Series A funding, Synapse Analytics is positioning itself to take its AI-driven financial decisioning infrastructure into more international markets while deepening its presence across emerging financial ecosystems.
