Kuadra raises funding to expand AI-powered construction management

Egyptian construction technology startup Kuadra has secured a funding round led by Edafa Venture Capital to accelerate the launch of what it describes as the country’s first unified AI-powered platform for the construction industry. The investment will support the company’s product development and commercial expansion as it seeks to drive digital transformation across one of Egypt’s largest economic sectors.

Founded by Ahmed Salem, Kuadra develops AI-powered workflow automation solutions for contractors. Its new platform is designed to manage the entire project lifecycle by automating procurement and project management processes, analysing tender documents, extracting technical specifications, allocating work packages to suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluating bids through a unified AI system.

According to the company, the platform reduces tender review from days or weeks to just hours by automatically generating structured summaries of project requirements, including material specifications, dimensions, brands, and country of origin. The technology is intended to shorten procurement cycles, improve operational efficiency, reduce human error, and support faster decision-making for contractors.

Kuadra said the construction sector remains one of Egypt’s largest contributors to GDP but continues to lag in digital adoption despite generating vast amounts of technical documentation well suited to artificial intelligence. Rather than replacing engineers, the company aims to embed industry expertise into AI-powered workflows that enable engineering teams to complete technical tasks more efficiently.

The fresh capital will also help Kuadra strengthen strategic partnerships with major construction companies while expanding its AI capabilities into adjacent industries, including oil and gas, as it scales its presence across the region.
