Algebra AI Raises $7M to Bring Managed AI to Mid-Market Businesses

UAE-based Algebra AI has officially emerged from stealth mode, announcing $7 million in financing from a consortium of regional and international investors including BECO Capital, Silicon Badia, Infinity Constellation, and Waseel Investments.

The company launches with an existing portfolio of clients across financial services, manufacturing, distribution, and food and beverage sectors, positioning itself as a new category player focused on managed AI services for mid-sized businesses across the Gulf.

Algebra AI is led by co-founder and CEO Anis Harb, who previously helped scale Deliveroo’s Middle East operations from launch to more than $1 billion in gross transaction value.

The startup was founded around a growing challenge facing regional businesses: while artificial intelligence adoption is accelerating rapidly, many mid-market companies find themselves caught between generic AI software tools and costly enterprise-grade implementations that require significant internal resources.

Instead of offering traditional software subscriptions, Algebra AI designs and manages custom AI systems tailored to a company’s operational workflows, approval structures, and existing technology stack. The company then continues operating and optimizing those systems as business requirements evolve.

“There are more than 30,000 mid-market businesses across the GCC, yet most have struggled to find an AI adoption model that truly reflects how they operate,” said Harb. “We build AI systems around the business and remain accountable for outcomes, creating a partnership model that has largely been unavailable to this segment.”

Backing the vision is a founding investor syndicate with deep expertise in AI deployment. According to Francis Pedraza, the opportunity lies in helping businesses move beyond AI experimentation and into real operational transformation.

The company plans to expand its client base across the GCC while growing its AI engineering and managed services teams over the coming months.

Why It Matters

While much of the global AI conversation has focused on large enterprises and consumer applications, the GCC’s economic backbone is made up of thousands of mid-sized companies that often lack the internal capabilities to deploy AI effectively.

Algebra AI’s model reflects a broader shift taking place across the region: businesses are increasingly looking for outcomes rather than software licenses. By combining AI implementation with ongoing operational management, the company is targeting a market segment that many traditional SaaS providers have overlooked.

What It Means for the Region

The launch of Algebra AI signals the emergence of a new AI services category in the Gulf—one focused on execution rather than experimentation. As GCC governments continue investing heavily in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, many mid-market businesses risk being left behind due to limited technical expertise and implementation capacity.

If successful, Algebra AI could help accelerate AI adoption across sectors that collectively employ hundreds of thousands of people and contribute significantly to regional GDP. It also highlights growing investor confidence in AI infrastructure and services companies built specifically for the GCC market, rather than imported solutions designed for Western enterprises.

For the regional startup ecosystem, the company’s launch demonstrates how the next wave of AI opportunities may come not only from building foundation models, but from helping traditional businesses integrate AI into their day-to-day operations at scale.
