UAE-based AI and geospatial intelligence company Stellaria has raised AED 25 million ($6.8 million) in a Seed funding round backed by a group of angel investors, valuing the company at AED 420 million ($114 million).
The fresh capital will support Stellaria’s next phase of growth as it scales its AI operating system for geospatial intelligence, expands its technical capabilities and team, and accelerates deployments across the UAE and international markets.
Founded by Dr. Ali AlHammadi, Stellaria is developing a unified AI-powered platform that transforms satellite imagery and other geospatial data into actionable intelligence. Its technology combines geospatial datasets, advanced AI models and analytical workflows to help organisations detect, analyse and understand activity across the physical world.
The company’s capabilities span AI-powered satellite imagery analytics, super-resolution, automated target recognition, maritime and port intelligence, satellite-derived bathymetry and environmental monitoring. Its technology is brought together through Stella, the company’s proprietary geospatial intelligence platform.
“This funding marks an important milestone in Stellaria’s journey and reflects the confidence our investors have placed in our technology and the team behind it,” said AlHammadi. He added that the company aims to build globally competitive space and AI technologies from the UAE while contributing to the country’s position as a hub for advanced innovation.
From Farmin to geospatial AI
Previously known as Farmin, Stellaria has evolved beyond its earlier focus to build capabilities across space technology, artificial intelligence and geospatial intelligence.
The company serves use cases across government, defence, maritime and ports, infrastructure, and environmental monitoring, positioning its technology at the intersection of AI, satellite data and real-world intelligence.
Stellaria is also an alumnus of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund’s Innovation Accelerator Program, where it received mentorship, strategic guidance and access to ecosystem connections designed to help innovative companies scale.
With its latest funding, Stellaria plans to further develop UAE-built technology, attract specialised technical talent and expand its products into new international markets.
The round comes as the UAE continues to increase its ambitions across artificial intelligence, space technology and advanced data infrastructure, creating a growing ecosystem for companies developing globally oriented deep-tech solutions from the region.
