Egypt is set to host KEMET-X, a new global entrepreneurship and innovation gathering bringing together international investors, venture capital firms, startups, corporates, government leaders and technology players from around the world.
Launched by Egyptian career development platform Career 180, KEMET-X aims to connect Egypt’s growing startup ecosystem with global capital, expertise and international markets.
The initiative is expected to bring funds representing approximately $5 billion in capital from five continents to Egypt, creating opportunities for investment, partnerships and cross-border expansion.
The flagship KEMET-X gathering will take place on December 14–15, 2026, at the Great Pyramids of Giza, bringing together more than 200 partners, startups and venture capital firms from over 50 countries.
The initiative was officially introduced during a launch event in Cairo attended by stakeholders from Egypt’s entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem.
The launch also featured the KEMET-X Tracks Challenge, covering areas including business, creative industries, technology, intellectual property and innovation.
According to Career 180, KEMET-X is designed to strengthen Egypt’s position as a meeting point between African entrepreneurs and the global investment community, while giving founders greater access to international investors, markets and expertise.
The December gathering will bring founders alongside global investors, technology leaders, corporates and institutions, with a focus on building investment and partnership opportunities across Egypt and the wider African startup ecosystem.
