BitOasis Appoints Jonathan Rigg as CEO for Its Next Growth Chapter

MENA digital asset platform BitOasis has appointed Jonathan Rigg as Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership transition as the company looks to deepen its regional footprint and expand its product offering.

Rigg succeeds Ola Doudin, who co-founded BitOasis in 2016 and helped build the company into one of the region’s most established cryptocurrency platforms.

The appointment comes as BitOasis enters a new stage of growth following its acquisition by Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX in 2024. The platform has recorded approximately $8.5 billion in spot trading volume and serves more than one million customers, ranging from retail investors to family offices and institutions across the UAE, Bahrain and the wider MENA market.

Rigg brings experience spanning traditional banking, fintech and digital assets. He previously held roles at HSBC and Deutsche Bank across prime brokerage and capital advisory before moving deeper into the digital asset sector.

Most recently, he spent three years as Vice President of Commercial at Fuze Finance, where he was part of the founding team and helped scale the business from inception. His experience also includes crypto infrastructure, OTC trading, stablecoin payments and Banking-as-a-Service.

For BitOasis, the leadership change comes alongside a broader push to strengthen its regulated presence across the region.

The company expanded into Bahrain in May 2025 after receiving a broker-dealer licence from the Central Bank of Bahrain. Its institutional offering now includes an OTC desk, while BitOasis has also secured regulatory approval for derivatives products that are moving toward launch.

Rigg said his focus will be on building on the platform’s existing foundations while strengthening products, expanding capabilities and maintaining trust and safety as the business scales.

Doudin described the transition as a new chapter for the company, pointing to BitOasis’ evolution from an early participant in MENA’s emerging crypto market into a recognised regional platform.

With deeper integration into CoinDCX, an expanding regulated footprint and new products in the pipeline, BitOasis is positioning its new CEO appointment as the start of its next phase of regional growth.
