Saudi Health-Tech Startup Nuxera AI Raises $2.5M Pre-Seed Round

Nuxera AI, a Saudi-based health-tech startup, has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding from Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health, marking a major step in the company’s mission to transform clinical workflows through Arabic-first artificial intelligence (AI) designed for healthcare providers across the Kingdom.

Founded by Amin El Hemaily (CEO), Asad Khan (CTO), and Nada Hassan (CCO), Nuxera AI is tackling one of the region’s biggest technology gaps: AI built natively for Arabic-speaking clinicians and hospitals. The company aims to become the region’s leading AI hub for healthcare, supporting both public health clusters and private hospitals with scalable, intelligent automation.

AI That Speaks the Language of Healthcare

At the core of Nuxera’s platform is SERA, its flagship AI system that listens to doctor–patient interactions across 28 Arabic dialects, automatically converting them into structured, SNOMED-, ACHI-, SBS-, and ICD-10-coded clinical notes. This process cuts documentation time by over 70%, freeing physicians to focus on patient care.

Complementing SERA is “Talk to Your Data,” an Arabic-language query engine that allows hospital leaders to ask questions — from clinical performance to financial efficiency — and receive instant, data-driven answers in natural language. Together, these tools are redefining how healthcare organizations across Saudi Arabia capture insights, optimize operations, and deliver better outcomes.

Fueling Saudi Innovation in Healthcare AI

The newly secured funding will enable Nuxera to expand its engineering and commercial teams, scale deployments across hospitals, and enhance its proprietary AI models through ongoing clinical collaborations.

As part of the investment, Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health will provide Nuxera with hands-on operational support, deep healthcare expertise, and strategic guidance as the company accelerates its growth within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving digital health ecosystem.

“This investment is not just a validation of our technology — it’s proof that Saudi innovation is setting global standards,” said Amin El Hemaily, CEO and Co-Founder of Nuxera AI. “Too many AI tools expect hospitals to adapt to them. We’ve built Nuxera to do the opposite — to understand Arabic dialects as spoken by real doctors, to code notes the way payers require, and to surface insights the way healthcare leaders think. That’s what it means to be an AI hub for healthcare.”

“We back founders who pair deep technical expertise with an unwavering commitment to solving real healthcare challenges, and that’s exactly what Amin, Nada, and Asad are doing with Nuxera,” said Joshua Ford, Managing Director of Redesign Health. “By building Arabic-first AI that understands 28 dialects, they’re addressing a need global players have never met. Nuxera is already demonstrating remarkable traction and has the potential to redefine how AI integrates into healthcare systems worldwide.”

A Sanabil Investments spokesperson added:

“We’re proud that Nuxera is the first company to emerge from the Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health. The team is tackling one of healthcare’s most complex challenges with bold, Arabic-first innovation. This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to backing Saudi founders with global impact potential.”
